Feasibility Studies
A feasibility study determines the best application of renewable energy systems and energy efficiency strategies. This provides for decreased dependence on fossil based energy. Wise energy practices therefore provide human comfort with reasonable energy consumption levels by implementing effective and sustainable energy harvesting and utilization measures. Clean Energy Design provides a wide range of feasibility studies for these different technologies.
For solar thermal and photovoltaic projects we analyze many prospective projects using our RSA (remote site assessment) service. Utilizing Google Earth and other online satellite/arial viewing tools, we are able to ensure the location and orientation of the site is adequate for the optimal solar gain for a system. After we gather additional pertinent information from the prospective client and have determined the site to be appropriate, we may conduct a solar pathfinder analysis to determine the extent of any potential shading degradation issues.
Adequate wind energy feasibility studies are inherently more in-depth and almost always require an onsite visit and sometimes longer term data acquisition.
