“Clean Energy Design did excellent work designing and installing a photovoltaic system for us in December 2010.  Snow on the panels limited electricity generation during January and February.  But from March onwards the system has generated more electricity than we have used.  Thanks to “net metering,” our electric meter runs backwards and our electric bills are zero.  In fact, as of September 2011 the system has generated nearly 3000 kilowatt-hours of electrical energy –  keeping more than one ton of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.  And we actually have a $20 credit with the power company.”
