Inn at the Moors
Commercial Solar PV System
The Commercial Solar PV System at Inn at The Moors in Provincetown, MA was installed over looking these amazing Moors.
Inn at The Moors has been interested in renewable energy systems for quite some time and elected to pursue a solar photovoltaic system in March, 2015 through Cape Cod solar company, Clean Energy Design, LLC. In June 2016, Clean Energy Design completed the installation of a turnkey 30 KW, multiple array solar photovoltaic system consisting of 96 high efficiency Solar World 315 watt mono-crystalline panels. This system will provide approximately 71% of the annual electric needs of the Inn.
The path of the sun that frames the Inn at the Moors is ideal for these two large solar photovoltaic arrays. Harnessing the power of the sun will further provide sustainable progress for the hotel, the town of Provincetown, and the fragile landscapes neighboring the property. It is located four miles from the Racepoint Lighthouse which has been off-grid since the 70’s, although dependent on a dirty coal fired generator. In 2003 our company installed the first of three off-grid renewable energy systems enabling the Race Point Keepers house and the Whistle house to be fueled by clean sustainable wind energy and solar power systems. With the help of the Clean Energy Design team, the Inn at the Moors is pioneering renewable energy for commercial properties on Cape Cod.
