Update November 2016: Our Solar PV system at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church is noted by the MA CEC as being one of the most efficient, highest producing systems of its kind in MA. It is still producing more power than anticipated after 4 years!
It’s always nice to get outside confirmation that you are doing something just right!
The 34.04 kW photovoltaic system that Tom Wineman and the CED team installed several months ago for St. Peter’s on Cape Cod, consists of two arrays totaling 148 high efficiency SunPower modules and 4-SMA 8000 inverters. Since the completion, the system has been producing an average of 4300-4800 kWh monthly enabling the church to produce in excess of 107% of the electricity it consumes and net zero their bill!
According to the MASS CEC (who actually called to double check the output!) this particular Clean Energy Design project is one of the most efficient PV systems in the area, producing in the top 1% of comparable systems!
